FAQs

Practical rajadharma: role-based appointment—eunuchs for women’s quarters and severe men for harsh duties—while prioritizing proven purity/integrity in selection.

It preserves administrative policy and personnel management norms alongside the Purana’s many other disciplines, showing that the text functions as a compendium of governance, ethics, and public order.

Selecting agents known for śucitva (purity/integrity) frames governance as a moral duty: righteous administration reduces harm, curbs misconduct, and supports dharmic order (dharma-rakṣaṇa).
