FAQs

It prescribes a Gaṇeśa-pūjā layout: worship specific Gaṇeśa mūrtis assigned to the directional ‘petals’ of a ritual diagram, perform the aṅga-pañcaka (five-limb worship), and apply mudrās to ritually seal/empower the quarters (dik-vidik).

It exemplifies the Agni Purāṇa’s practical ritual manual style by combining iconographic enumeration (multiple Gaṇeśa names/forms), spatial liturgy (directional assignment), and tantric-ritual technique (mudrā, aṅga-pañcaka), integrating theology with executable procedure.

By invoking Gaṇeśa in the directions and sealing the quarters with mudrā, the rite is intended to remove impediments, stabilize the ritual space, and secure auspiciousness and protection across one’s “world-regions” (life-spheres) before undertaking other sacred acts.
