Concept: Yukti (rational combination): pairing kvātha with sneha (oil) for vāta disorders; ekadravya-prayoga for specific organ affliction.
Application: Shows formulation logic: vāta conditions often benefit from sneha-yukta administration; also preserves quick ‘single-drug’ clinical mnemonics (pippalī for plīha).

Related Themes: Agni Purana 282 (vāta-śoṇita and organ-roga remedies context)
It teaches a practical Ayurvedic prescription: a decoction-based formulation (kvātha) taken orally with castor oil to alleviate vāta-śoṇita, and it states pippalī as a specific remedy for splenic disorders (plīha-roga).
Beyond mythology and ritual, the Agni Purana catalogs applied sciences like Ayurveda—naming herbs (vāsā, pippalī), vehicles (eraṇḍa taila), dosage form (kvātha), and targeted conditions (vāta-śoṇita, plīha-roga), reflecting its wide, compendious scope.
By preserving health through dharmic, text-sanctioned medicine, one sustains the body as an instrument for duty (dharma), worship, and disciplined living—thus supporting purity of conduct and continuity of righteous practice.
