Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Mantra","secondary_vidya":"Vrata","practical_application":"Provides an adaptive rule for incapable yajamānas (substitute observances like naktā) and gives a Śrīdhara mantra for nitya-pūjā aimed at prosperity and devotional closure after homa.","sutra_style":true}

Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Procedure","entry_title":"Anukalpa for Aśakta Yajamāna + Śrīdhara Nitya-pūjā Mantra","lookup_keywords":["aśakta","naktā","homa","visarjana","oṃ hrīṃ śrīṃ"],"quick_summary":"When full performance is not possible, the rite allows regulated substitutes (like night-only eating), followed by homa completion, formal dismissal, praise, and daily worship using the Śrīdhara mantra for prosperity."}

Concept: Dharma accommodates capacity (aśakti) through sanctioned alternatives (anukalpa) while preserving the rite’s integrity via proper closure (visarjana) and steady nitya-pūjā.

Application: When constrained, adopt authorized substitutes rather than abandoning practice; always complete rites with offering, praise, and formal dismissal; maintain daily mantra-worship for continuity.

FAQs

It prescribes a fallback ritual protocol: if the yajamāna cannot complete the full observance, the votary should adopt austerities like naktā-ādi, perform homa, formally conclude the rite (visarjana), offer stuti, and maintain nitya-pūjā with the Śrīdhara mantra (oṃ hrīṃ śrīṃ…).

It exemplifies the text’s practical ritual handbook character—detailing contingency rules, sequencing (homa → visarjana → stuti → daily worship), and integrating tantric bījas with Vaiṣṇava devotion, showing how multiple liturgical systems are harmonized.

It safeguards continuity of merit (puṇya) and purity when full performance is impossible: disciplined austerity plus proper closure and daily worship are presented as sufficient to sustain auspiciousness (śrī) and devotional efficacy.
