The Battle of Mahiṣa Daitya and the Gods
एते द्वादश दैत्येन्द्रा आदित्यान् युधि दुद्रुवुः । स्वकं सैन्यमुपादाय तद्वदन्येऽपि दानवाः । रुद्रान् दुद्रुवुरव्यग्रा यथासंख्येन कोपिताः ॥
ete dvādaśa daityendrā ādityān yudhi dudruvuḥ | svakaṃ sainyam upādāya tadvad anye 'pi dānavāḥ | rudrān dudruvur avyagrā yathāsaṃkhyena kopitāḥ ||
बारह दैत्य सैनिक लड़ाई में आदित्यों पे टूट पड़े। अपनी अपनी फौज लिए और दानव भी साथ में। गुस्से में भड़कर रुद्रों पे भी चढ़ गए।
