ऋक्ष पर्वत से निकलने वाली नदियाँ हैं: शोणा, ज्योतिरथा, नर्मदा, सुरसा, मंदाकिनी, दशार्णा, चित्रकूटा, तमसा, पिप्पला, करतोया, पिशाचिका, चित्रोत्पला, विशाला, वंजुला, बालुका, वाहिनी, शुक्तिमती, विरजा, पंकिनी, रिरी और कुहू। विंध्य पर्वत के पास से निकलने वाली नदियाँ हैं: मणिजाला, शुभा, तापी, पयोष्णी, शीघ्रोदा, वेष्णा, पाशा, वैतरणी, वेदी, पाली, कुमुद्वती, तोया, दुर्गा, अंत्या और गिरा। सह्य पर्वत के पास से निकलने वाली नदियाँ हैं: गोदावरी, भीमरथी, कृष्णा, वेणा, वंजुला, तुंगभद्रा, सुप्रयोगा, वाह्या और कावेरी।
