The Sovereignty Vow and the Cycle of Tithi-Based Observances
इन्दुव्रतं पञ्चदश्यां शुक्लायां नक्तभोजनम् । पितृव्रतममावास्यामिति राजन् तथेरितम् ॥ ६५.१० ॥
induvrataṁ pañcadaśyāṁ śuklāyāṁ naktabhojanam | pitṛvratam amāvāsyām iti rājan tatheritam || 65.10 ||
पूर्णिमा को रात में खाना खाते हैं, यह इंदु व्रत है। अमावस्या को पितरी व्रत होता है। राजा, यह ऐसे ही चला आया है।
