The Obstacle-Removing Vow
Procedure for Worship of Vināyaka
anena kṛtamātreṇa sarvavighnair vimucyate | vināyakasya kṛpayā kṛtakṛtyo naro bhavet || 59.9 ||
Varāha
It reflects a common Purāṇic theme in which ritual or devotional acts are presented as means of overcoming vighna (impediments), situating Vināyaka within broader early-medieval Sanskrit religious and literary culture.
No geographic location is explicitly mentioned in this verse fragment.
The verse emphasizes disciplined performance of a prescribed act and frames the outcome as the removal of obstacles and the completion of one’s responsibilities (kṛtakṛtya), expressed in neutral, aspirational terms.
