Nārada’s Teaching on a Viṣṇu-Vrata for Securing a Husband
Narrative of the Apsarases
agastya uvāca | evam uktvā sa devarṣiḥ prayayau nāradaḥ kṣaṇāt | tā apy etad vrataṃ cakrus tuṣṭaś cāsāṃ svayaṃ hariḥ || 54.23 ||
Agastya
It illustrates a common Purāṇic narrative device: authoritative instruction delivered by a sage (Nārada) and validated by the reported outcome, preserving ritual and ethical norms through framed dialogue.
No geographic site is explicitly named in this verse; it focuses on the immediate departure of Nārada and the completion of a vow.
The verse emphasizes follow-through in disciplined observance (vrata) and presents approval as the narrative consequence of sincere practice.
