एतत्सर्वं तु गौर्या वै सम्पन्नं तु तृतीयया । तस्यां तिथौ तृतीयायां लवणं वर्जयेन्नरः । यश्चोपोष्यति नारी वा सा सौभाग्यं तु विन्दति ॥ २२.५३ ॥
etatsarvaṃ tu gauryā vai sampannaṃ tu tṛtīyayā | tasyāṃ tithau tṛtīyāyāṃ lavaṇaṃ varjayennaraḥ | yaścopoṣyati nārī vā sā saubhāgyaṃ tu vindati || 22.53 ||
गौरी का यह सब काम तीसरे दिन पूरा हुआ। उस दिन तीसरी तिथि होती है। उस दिन नमक नहीं खाना चाहिए। जो औरत व्रत रखती है, उसको सुहाग की बरकत मिलती है।
