Anukramaṇikā Chapter
tato vrataṃ dharāṇyāś ca gītāgastyasya cottamā | paśupālasya cākhyānaṃ bhartṛ-prāpti-vrataṃ tathā ||
Varāha
It indicates a mixed register of content—Earth-associated observances, a didactic ‘gītā’ attributed to Agastya, and socially oriented vows—useful for studying Purāṇic ritual culture and transmission of instruction.
No explicit location is named; ‘Dharāṇī’ denotes the Earth as a personified principle rather than a specific site.
The verse points to vow-based disciplines (vratas) as structured practices; ethical details depend on the full sections referenced (not included in this excerpt).
