Reciting (it) in the morning destroys sin committed at night. Reciting (it) in the evening destroys sin committed in the day. Reciting at midday, facing the sun, one is released from the five great sins and the subsidiary sins. One obtains the merit of reciting all the Vedas. One attains union with Nārāyaṇa—one attains union with Nārāyaṇa. He who thus knows (it). Thus (ends) the Upaniṣad.
