स तस्मिन्नेवाकाशे स्त्रियमाजगाम बहुशोभमानामुमां हैमवतीम्। तां ह उवाच—किमेतद्यक्षमिति॥१२॥

sa tasminn evākāśe striyam ājagāma bahuśobhamānām umāṃ haimavatīm | tāṃ ha uvāca—kim etad yakṣam iti ||12||

Translation

वही जगह पर उसने एक औरत देखी, उमा। वो बहुत चमक रही थी, पहाड़ जैसी रोशनी थी उसमें। इंद्र ने उससे पूछा, बताओ यह यक्ष कौन है?

Academic Translation

He (Indra) came, in that very space, upon a woman—Uma Haimavatī—radiant with great splendor. He said to her: “What is this Yakṣa?”
