Sukta 9.62
तुभ्येमा भुवना कवे महिम्ने सोम तस्थिरे । तुभ्यमर्षन्ति सिन्धवः ॥
túbhye mā́ bhúvanā kave mahimné sóma tasthire | túbhyam arṣanti síndhavaḥ ||
हे सोम, तू एक रिशि है। तेरे लिए यह सारी दुनिया तेरे बड़े होने की वजह से खड़ी है। तेरे लिए नदियाँ बह रही हैं।
For you, O Soma the seer, these worlds stand established in your greatness; for you the rivers flow.
Soma as kavi is the seer-delight that holds the planes of our being (bhuvanāni) in a stable harmony when it is sovereign. The ‘rivers’ (sindhavaḥ) are the streaming energies—prāṇic, mental, intuitive—flowing toward that central bliss, feeding and organizing the whole inner cosmos.
A stable inner joy is not an ornament but an organizing principle: when delight is central, life-forces naturally flow in right channels and the worlds within become ordered and supported.
Cosmic sovereignty, Waters/rivers, Soma as kavi, R̥ta-support
Bhṛgu seers often speak from a standpoint of inner law and power; Jamadagni’s mantras show how a single divine principle (Soma/Ananda) can unify the many worlds.
The verse presents Ananda not merely as experience but as cosmic support—an inner metaphysics of integration: ‘worlds stand’ when bliss is enthroned.
A sustaining nectar that upholds the cosmic order and draws all streams of power toward the divine center.
Integrative bliss that stabilizes multiple parts of the being and attracts energies into harmonious flow.
Soma sacrifice—pavamāna laud

4 × 12 (expected)
Majestic, steady; conveys establishment (tasthire) and vastness (mahimne).
Creates a grounded wideness—supportive for meditation on inner stability and integration.
Affirmation hymn during Soma flow: establishes Soma’s cosmic sovereignty—worlds and rivers oriented to him.
During purification chants that affirm Soma’s cosmic efficacy and support.
Recited to magnify Soma’s greatness and invite sustaining power into the rite.
Use for centering when fragmented: chant to re-establish inner ‘worlds’ in a single delight; helpful before sleep or after emotional upheaval.
bhuvana: from √bhū ‘become, be’ → ‘worlds/planes of becoming’. mahimā/mahimne: greatness/expansion. tasthire: from √sthā ‘stand’ (PIE *steh₂- ‘stand’). sindhu: river, stream; in RV often a powerful flowing entity, innerly the dynamic currents that support manifestation.
cosmic support (worlds standing in greatness), kavi as truth-seeing consciousness, ordered flow (rivers for Soma)
The establishment of worlds implies R̥ta upheld by Soma’s clarified essence.
Stability in truth: when delight is pure, it supports truthful being, not fluctuating pleasure.
Sustenance rather than first creation: the maintained cosmos depends on a central nectar/principle.
Integral Vedantic: Ananda as ontological support of planes of consciousness.

unspecified
Multiple inner planes stabilized by a central bliss; life-currents flow naturally toward that center.
Rest in the felt sense of ‘support’—a quiet joy behind thought. Let all inner movements ‘flow into’ that joy.
anāhata (heart)
Coherent breathing (equal inhale/exhale) with silent awareness of a ‘river’ of breath entering the heart-center.
Integration: from scattered mental/vital streams into a unified, stable wideness.
After chanting, scan body–life–mind; imagine each as a ‘world’ settling onto a luminous foundation of joy. Offer each movement into that center until quiet stability arises.
Keep accents steady; allow a slightly broader sustain on mahimne and tasthire to convey establishment.
Avoid rushing; the verse benefits from dignified pacing and clear visarga articulation (kave, soma).
tubhyemā: split as tubhya-imā in articulation if needed; keep ‘bhya’ clear, bhuvanā: dental ‘n’, mahimne: ‘h’ audible, not swallowed, arṣanti: ṛ vowel clear; ‘ṣ’ retroflex, sindhavaḥ: ‘dh’ aspirated; visarga ḥ light
Steady, full, soothing resonance; minimal ornamentation.
