Sukta 9.62
आविशन्कलशं सुतो विश्वा अर्षन्नभि श्रियः । शूरो न गोषु तिष्ठति ॥
ā-viśán kalaśáṃ sutó víśvā arṣann abhí śríyaḥ | śū́ro ná góṣu tiṣṭhati ||
Describes Soma’s entry into the kalaśa (collecting vessel) after filtration; ritually marks readiness for offering/distribution.
śrī as luminous prosperity of consciousness, go (cows) as rays/knowledges recovered and stabilized
R̥ta is the right channeling: flow into the vessel, then stable establishment in light.
Go (rays) as Satya’s field—knowledge where delight stands firm.
From concentrated essence to universal splendor: Ananda as a creative principle of perfection (śrī).
Vedantic-Ananda emphasis (Taittirīya echo): delight as basis of perfection and knowledge
Vessel = gathered awareness; flow = pervasion of joy; cows = rays of illumination; standing hero = stable realization.
Collect joy into the central vessel (kalaśa) and let it stabilize in luminous understanding (go/rays).
Anahata (collection) with Ajna (luminous knowing)
Slow exhale with a sense of ‘pouring into the jar’ at the heart; brief natural kumbhaka to ‘stand firm’
Quiet fullness, luminous stability
Visualize a shining jar in the heart. With each repetition, feel Soma pour in and then spread as gentle splendor through the body; end by resting attention in the forehead light, letting the ‘hero’ stand unmoved.
Full Vedic svara requires śākhā marks; for practice, keep a gentle rise on āviśan/kalaśaṃ and a firm settling cadence on tiṣṭhati.
Let ‘āviśan kalaśaṃ’ be smooth and flowing; make ‘śūro…tiṣṭhati’ steady and grounded.
āviśan: long ā; ś as palatal, kalaśaṃ: ś not s; final ṃ nasal, viśvā: long ā, arṣan: retroflex ṣ, śriyaḥ: śr cluster; visarga audible, goṣu: long o; retroflex ṣ
Warm, centered, concluding firmness
