Soma Pavamāna
This short Soma Pavamāna hymn praises Soma as he flows in unbroken streams through the filter, like rain descending from heaven, moving toward abundant strength (vāja). As the juice is purified and ‘polished,’ Soma is envisioned as kingly, law-abiding, and swift like a falcon settling on treasure, and he is asked to bring all riches from heaven and earth to the worshippers.

Mantra 1
प्र ते धारा असश्चतो दिवो न यन्ति वृष्टयः । अच्छा वाजं सहस्रिणम् ॥
तुम्हारी नदियाँ आगे बढ़ रही हैं, रुकती नहीं। जैसे आसमान से बारिश गिरती है, वैसे ही यह भी बह रही हैं। यह ऐसी शक्ति की तरफ जा रही हैं जो हज़ारों गुना बढ़ा देती है।

अभि प्रियाणि काव्या विश्वा चक्षाणो अर्षति । हरिस्तुञ्जान आयुधा ॥
वो बह रहा है और सब अच्छी चीज़ें देख रहा है जो प्यारी लगती हैं। पीली चमक वाली शक्ति आगे बढ़ रही है अपने हथियारों के साथ। यह वो ताक़त है जो काम को सही करती है।

स मर्मृजान आयुभिरिभो राजेव सुव्रतः । श्येनो न वंसु षीदति ॥
वो जीवन की ताक़तों से चमक रहा है। राजा की तरह मज़बूत है और सही रास्ते पर चलता है। जैसे बाज़ किसी ख़ज़ाने पर बैठता है, वैसे ही वो भी उस अच्छी चीज़ पर टिक जाता है।

स नो विश्वा दिवो वसूतो पृथिव्या अधि । पुनान इन्दवा भर ॥
आसमान से और ज़मीन से सब धन ले कर आओ हमारे पास। इन्दु, जब तुम साफ़ हो रहे हो, तो यह सब चीज़ें हमें दे दो।
