Sukta 7.4
परिषद्यं ह्यरणस्य रेक्णो नित्यस्य रायः पतयः स्याम । न शेषो अग्ने अन्यजातमस्त्यचेतानस्य मा पथो वि दुक्षः ॥
pari-sádyaṃ hy áraṇasya rékṇo nítyasya rāyáḥ pátayaḥ syāma | ná śéṣo agne anyá-jātam asty ácetānasya mā́ pátho ví dukṣaḥ ||
अग्नि से यह प्रार्थना है कि जो दान सही मेहनत से मिलता है, उस धन के मालिक हम बन जाएँ। यह दान हमेशा के लिए है। अग्नि, बिना जाग्रत रहने वाले का रास्ता बिखर जाता है। हमें सही रास्ते पे रखना, हमारा ध्यान बिका न जाए।
