Sukta 6.50
ओमानमापो मानुषीरमृक्तं धात तोकाय तनयाय शं योः । यूयं हि ष्ठा भिषजो मातृतमा विश्वस्य स्थातुर्जगतो जनित्रीः ॥
omā́nam ā́po mānuṣī́r amṛ́ktaṃ dhāta tokā́ya tánayāya śáṃ yóḥ | yūyáṃ hí ṣṭhā bhiṣájo mātṛ́-tamā víśvasya sthātúr jágato jánitrīḥ ||
पानी से दुआ मांगो, वो इंसान के काम आते हैं और भगवान जैसे भी हैं। हमारे बच्चे और आने वाली नसल के लिए शांति और खुशी मांगो। पानी दवा की तरह काम करता है, माँ जैसा प्यार देता है। सारी दुनिया, जो चलती है और जो खड़ी रहती है, सब पानी से ही बनती है।
