Sukta 6.47
अयं स्वादुरिह मदिष्ठ आस यस्येन्द्रो वृत्रहत्ये ममाद । पुरूणि यश्च्यौत्ना शम्बरस्य वि नवतिं नव च देह्यो हन् ॥
ayáṃ svādúr ihá mádiṣṭha āsa yásyéndro vṛtrahátye mamā́da | purū́ṇi yáś cyautnā́ śámbharasya ví navatíṃ náva ca dehyò han ||
यह रस इतना मीठा है कि इंद्र खुश हो जाते हैं। वो दुश्मन वृत्र को मारते हैं और खुश होते हैं। उन्होंने शंभर की कितनी बार जीत ली, और निनानवे दुश्मनों को हरा दिया। यह सब ताकत इस रस से आती है।
