This brief hymn invokes Agni as Jātavedas and Hotṛ to place the sacrificer’s rite “among the immortals,” ensuring it is accepted and carried in the right order. इमं नो यज्ञममृतेषु धेहीमा हव्या जातवेदो जुषस्व । स्तोकानामग्ने मेदसो घृतस्य होतः प्राशान प्रथमो निषद्य ॥
अग्नि, हमारी यह पूजा को देवियों के पास पहुँचा दे। यह सब सामग्री हमने तेरे लिए रखी है, इसे ले ले। तू पहले बैठ के घी का हिस्सा ले। तू ही होता है जो यज्ञ को सही तरीके से चलाता है।

घृतवन्तः पावक ते स्तोकाः श्चोतन्ति मेदसः । स्वधर्मन्देववीतये श्रेष्ठं नो धेहि वार्यम् ॥
अग्नि, तेरे लिए घी की बूँदें गिर रही हैं। यह बूँदें चमक रही हैं और बहुत ताकतवाली हैं। तू देवियों के लिए सबसे अच्छा चीज़ हम में बना दे।

तुभ्यं स्तोका घृतश्चुतोऽग्ने विप्राय सन्त्य । ऋषिः श्रेष्ठः समिध्यसे यज्ञस्य प्राविता भव ॥
अग्नि, यह घी की बूँदें तेरे लिए हैं। तू बड़ा रिशि है, तुझे जलाया जा रहा है। तू यज्ञ को आगे बढ़ा, इसे सही रख।

तुभ्यं श्चोतन्त्यध्रिगो शचीवः स्तोकासो अग्ने मेदसो घृतस्य । कविशस्तो बृहता भानुनागा हव्या जुषस्व मेधिर ॥
अग्नि, तेरे लिए घी और तेल की बूँदें गिर रही हैं। तू ताकतवाला है। रिशि तेरे गुण गा रहे हैं। तू बड़ी रोशनी ले के आ। यह सामग्री ले ले और हमारी पूजा को सही बना।

ओजिष्ठं ते मध्यतो मेद उद्भृतं प्र ते वयं ददामहे । श्चोतन्ति ते वसो स्तोका अधि त्वचि प्रति तान्देवशो विहि ॥
हम तुझे सबसे ताकतवाला चीज़ दे रहे हैं। यह घी की बूँदें तेरे ऊपर गिर रही हैं। इन्हें सही तरीके से ले ले और देवियों के लिए बाँट दे।
