अग्निं देवासो मानुषीषु विक्षु प्रियं धुः क्षेष्यन्तो न मित्रम् । स दीदयदुशतीरूर्म्या आ दक्षाय्यो यो दास्वते दम आ ॥
agníṃ devā́so mā́nuṣīṣu vikṣú priyaṃ dhuḥ kṣeṣyánto ná mítram | sá dīdayad uśatī́r ū́rmyā ā́ dakṣā́yyo yó dā́svate dámē ā́ ||
देवताओं ने अग्नि को लोगों के बीच भेजा था। वो उसको अपना प्रिय दोस्त मानते थे, जैसे मित्र कोई अच्छा दोस्त हो। अग्नि चमकता है और खुशी से फैलता है। जो लोग उसकी पूजा करते हैं, वो उसके घर आता है। और जो उसको समझ के पूजा करता है, वो बड़ा हो जाता है।
