Sukta 2.33
स्तुहि श्रुतं गर्तसदं युवानं मृगं न भीममुपहत्नुमुग्रम् । मृळा जरित्रे रुद्र स्तवानोऽन्यं ते अस्मन्नि वपन्तु सेनाः ॥
stuhí śrutáṃ garta-sádaṃ yúvānaṃ mṛgáṃ ná bhīmám upa-hatnúm ugrám | mṛḷā́ jaritré rudra stavā́nó ’nyáṃ te asmán ní vapantu sénāḥ ||
रुद्र की स्तुति करो। वो गहरे में बैठता है, जवान है, और एक जंगली जानवर जैसा भयंकर है। जो भी उसकी मार खाता है वो गिर जाता है। रुद्र, जब हम तुम्हारी तारीफ करते हैं तो गाने वाले पर दया करो। तुम्हारी सेना और दुश्मनी हम पर मत आने दो, किसी और को जाए।
