This brief hymn invokes the R̥bhus—divine artisan powers—and their “sons” as forces that expand and perfect the great work, drawing sustenance from Earth as a mother-cow. प्र सूनव ऋभूणां बृहन्नवन्त वृजना । क्षामा ये विश्वधायसोऽश्नन्धेनुं न मातरम् ॥
रिभु के बेटो, आगे बढ़ो और अपना काम बढ़ाओ। तुम लोग तो पूरी दुनिया को संभालते हो। इस धरती से खाओ पियो जैसे बच्चा माँ से दूध पीता है। यह धरती तुम्हारी माँ जैसी है, तुम्हे जीने की पूरी शक्ति देती है।

प्र देवं देव्या धिया भरता जातवेदसम् । हव्या नो वक्षदानुषक् ॥
भगवान को बुलाओ अपने दिल से, जातवेदस को, जो सब जन्मों का जाननेवाला है। वो हमारी भेंट लेकर भगवान तक पहुँचा देगा। एक के बाद एक, सब कुछ सही टाइम पर पहुँचेगा।

अयमु ष्य प्र देवयुर्होता यज्ञाय नीयते । रथो न योरभीवृतो घृणीवाञ्चेतति त्मना ॥
यह पुजारी भगवान की तरफ जा रहा है, यज्ञ के लिए। वो एक रथ जैसा है जो अपने रास्ते पर चल रहा है, चमकता हुआ, अपनी शक्ति से। वो खुद जानता है कि उससे करना क्या है, खुद से चलता है।

अयमग्निरुरुष्यत्यमृतादिव जन्मनः । सहसश्चित्सहीयान्देवो जीवातवे कृतः ॥
यह अग्नि हमारे जीवन को बड़ा करता है और रखता है। ऐसा लगता है जैसे वो अमृत से पैदा हुआ हो। वो ताकत से भी ज़्यादा स्ट्रॉन्ग है। भगवान ने हमें इसलिए बनाया है ताकि हम सच में जी सकें।
