Outer meaning

Helped by Agni, the unwearied bearer of prize/plenty goes beyond the former; the giver stands forth in front.

Inner meaning

With Agni’s aid, the seeker’s striving force (vājī) becomes tireless (ahrayaḥ) and surpasses previous limits: a new stage of growth goes beyond the old. The ‘giver’ (dāśvān)—the part of us that can truly surrender and offer—comes to the front of the being, leading life by consecration rather than habit.

Universal truth

Progress is cumulative but also surpassing: with the right inner fire, the next movement exceeds the previous. True advancement is marked by a spontaneous precedence of generosity, surrender, and right giving.
