स हि पुरू चिदोजसा विरुक्मता दीद्यानो भवति द्रुहंतरः परशुर्न द्रुहंतरः । वीळु चिद्यस्य समृतौ श्रुवद्वनेव यत्स्थिरम् । निःषहमाणो यमते नायते धन्वासहा नायते ॥
sá hí purū́ cid ójasā virúkmātā dī́dyāno bhávati druhantaráḥ paraśúr ná druhantaraḥ | vīḷú cid yásya sámṛtau śrúvad vánéva yát sthirám | niḥ-sáhamāṇo yamate ná āyate dhanvā-sáhā ná āyate ||
अग्नि बहुत ताकत वाला है, सोना जैसा चमकता है। वो दुश्मन पे इतना ज़ोर से मारता है जैसे कोई कुल्हाड़ी। पक्के पेड़ भी उसके आगे झुक जाते हैं। वो आगे बढ़ता रहता है, पीछे नहीं हटता। वो चारों तरफ जीता जाता है, रुकता नहीं है।
