Sukta 7
आदित्याः। दितेः॑ पु॒त्राणा॒मदि॑तेरकारिष॒मव॑ दे॒वानां॑ बृह॒ताम॑न॒र्मणा॑म्। तेषां॒ हि धाम॑ गभि॒षक् स॑मु॒द्रियं॒ नैना॒न् नम॑सा प॒रो अ॑स्ति॒ कश्च॒न
ādityā́ḥ | ditéḥ putrā́ṇām áditer akāriṣam áva devā́nāṃ bṛhatā́m anarmáṇām | téṣāṃ hí dhā́ma gabhíṣak samudríyaṃ náinān námasā paró asti káścana ||
The Ādityas—of Diti’s sons, of Aditi’s—have I wrought a propitiation, of the great gods that are without harm. For deep, ocean-like is their ordinance and abode: beyond them, by reverence, there is none at all.
आदित्य देव जो दिति के बेटे हैं और अदिति के बेटे हैं, मैं उनकी भक्ति कर रहा हूँ। यह बड़े देव हैं जो किसी को नुकसान नहीं करते। इनका घर समुंदर जैसा गहरा है। इनसे बड़ा कोई नहीं है। इनको प्रणाम करने से ही सब पाप धुल जाता है।
