उ॒भयं॑ शृ॒णव॑च्च न॒ इन्द्रो॑ अ॒र्वागि॒दं वचः॑ । स॒त्राच्या॑ म॒घवा॒ सोम॑पीतये धि॒या शवि॑ष्ठ॒ आ ग॑मत्
इंद्र हमारी दोनों तरफ से सुन ले। हमारी बात उसकी तरफ आए। वो दान देने वाला, ताकतवर, सोम पीने के लिए आए।

तं हि स्व॒राजं॑ वृष॒भं तमोज॑से धि॒षणे॑ निष्टत॒क्षतुः॑ । उ॒तोप॒मानां॑ प्रथ॒मो नि षी॑दसि॒ सोम॑कामं॒ हि ते॒ मनः॑
वो अपने आप का राजा है, बैल जैसा ताकतवर। दोनों ने उसको बनाया है ताकत के लिए। और सब में पहले बैठता है, क्योंकि उसका मन सोम के लिए लगा है।
