अष्टादश सहस्राणि ऋषीणामूर्ध्वरेतसाम् । तस्मिंल्लिंगे तु सिद्धानि सिद्धेश्वरमतः स्मृतम्

aṣṭādaśa sahasrāṇi ṛṣīṇāmūrdhvaretasām | tasmiṃlliṃge tu siddhāni siddheśvaramataḥ smṛtam

ऊर्ध्वरेतस् अठारह सहस्र ऋषियों ने उस लिङ्ग में सिद्धि प्राप्त की; इसलिए वह ‘सिद्धेश्वर’ नाम से स्मरण किया जाता है।
