Śaṅkara (Śiva) (quoted within Īśvara’s narration)
Tirtha: Brahmakūṇḍa; (Śiva) liṅga worship associated with Brahmeśvara context
Type: kund
Listener: Devī
Scene: Pilgrims at dawn/full-moon day: bathing steps of Brahmakūṇḍa, then a decorated liṅga with sandal paste, flowers, incense; priests arranging offerings in a clear sequence under moonlit sky.
Purification (snāna) joined to orderly worship (vidhi) on sacred lunar days is upheld as a direct path to Śiva’s favor.
A specific kuṇḍa (sacred pool) in Prabhāsa-kṣetra, in the Bhairava/Brahmakūṇḍa vicinity.
Bathe in the kuṇḍa and worship Śiva’s liṅga on Paurṇamāsī with prescribed offerings like fragrance and flowers, in proper sequence.
