अत्रत्यः प्राणिमात्रोपि रक्षणीयः प्रयत्नतः । एकस्मिन्रक्षिते जंतावत्र काश्यां प्रयत्नतः । त्रैलोक्यरक्षणात्पुण्यं यत्स्यात्तत्स्यान्न संशयः
atratyaḥ prāṇimātropi rakṣaṇīyaḥ prayatnataḥ | ekasminrakṣite jaṃtāvatra kāśyāṃ prayatnataḥ | trailokyarakṣaṇātpuṇyaṃ yatsyāttatsyānna saṃśayaḥ
यहाँ काशी में प्राणीमात्र, चाहे कितना ही सूक्ष्म क्यों न हो, यत्नपूर्वक रक्षणीय है। काशी में यदि एक जीव की भी सच्चे प्रयत्न से रक्षा हो जाए, तो जो पुण्य मिलता है वह त्रैलोक्य-रक्षा के पुण्य के समान है—इसमें संदेह नहीं।
