तदा कथमदास्यं त्वां तस्मै मायास्वरूपिणं । अहं शिवाख्यया तुष्टो न जाने शिवरूपिणम्
tadā kathamadāsyaṃ tvāṃ tasmai māyāsvarūpiṇaṃ | ahaṃ śivākhyayā tuṣṭo na jāne śivarūpiṇam
फिर मैं तुम्हें उसे कैसे दे सकता था, जब मैंने उसे केवल माया-रूप से ही देखा? मैं ‘शिव’ नाम से ही तुष्ट हो गया, पर शिव के सत्य स्वरूप को न पहचान सका।
