न ब्राह्मणोभवत्येष यतो वेदो न वेत्त्यमुम् । शस्त्रास्त्रधारणात्प्रायः क्षत्रियः स्यान्न सोप्ययम्
na brāhmaṇobhavatyeṣa yato vedo na vettyamum | śastrāstradhāraṇātprāyaḥ kṣatriyaḥ syānna sopyayam
यह ब्राह्मण नहीं है, क्योंकि (मेरे कथनानुसार) यह वेद नहीं जानता। शस्त्र-अस्त्र धारण करने से कोई क्षत्रिय कहा जा सकता है, पर यह तो वह भी नहीं है।
