उदयानुदयौ प्राज्ञैर्द्रष्टव्यौ पुष्पवंतयोः । सदैकरूपताऽत्याज्या हर्षाहर्षौ ततोऽध्रुवौ
udayānudayau prājñairdraṣṭavyau puṣpavaṃtayoḥ | sadaikarūpatā'tyājyā harṣāharṣau tato'dhruvau
जैसे पुष्पयुक्त वृक्षों में उदय और अनुदय देखा जाता है, वैसे ही बुद्धिमान को उत्थान-पतन देखना चाहिए; सदा एक-सा रहने की चाह छोड़ देनी चाहिए—इसलिए हर्ष और विषाद दोनों अनित्य हैं।
