यज्ञेषु नाशं गच्छत्सु हृताहारास्ततः सुराः । निर्बलाः सुखजेयाः स्युर्जितेषु त्रिदशेष्वथ
yajñeṣu nāśaṃ gacchatsu hṛtāhārāstataḥ surāḥ | nirbalāḥ sukhajeyāḥ syurjiteṣu tridaśeṣvatha
जब यज्ञ नष्ट होने लगते हैं, तब देवताओं का आहार छिन जाता है। तब वे निर्बल और सहज ही जीते जाने योग्य हो जाते हैं; और जब त्रिदश पराजित हों, तब लोक-व्यवस्था उलट जाती है।
