Transliteration

tadā nirāśrayā viprāḥ kṣetrasaṃnyāsinonaghāḥ | upākṛtāścāvirataṃ mahākṣetrapratigrahāt

Translation

तब वे निष्पाप ब्राह्मण—क्षेत्र-समर्पित संन्यासी—सांसारिक आश्रय से रहित थे; परन्तु महाक्षेत्र (काशी) में प्राप्त दानों से वे निरन्तर पोषित होते रहे।
