skaṃda uvāca | uktā paṃcanadotpattirmitrāvaruṇanaṃdana | idānīṃ kathayiṣyāmi mādhavāviṣkṛtiṃ parām

Translation

स्कन्द बोले—हे मित्र और वरुण के नन्दन! मैंने पञ्चनद की उत्पत्ति कह दी; अब मैं काशी में माधव (विष्णु) की परम आविर्भूति का वर्णन करूँगा।
