तस्मिन्मृते कृतोद्वाहे सहसा तस्य बांधवाः । चुक्रुशुः शोकसंतप्तौ श्वशुरावस्य कन्यका
tasminmṛte kṛtodvāhe sahasā tasya bāṃdhavāḥ | cukruśuḥ śokasaṃtaptau śvaśurāvasya kanyakā
विवाह अभी-अभी हुआ था और वह सहसा मर गया; तब उसके बंधुजन शोक से संतप्त होकर विलाप करने लगे, और श्वशुर तथा नववधू भी दुःखाग्नि से दग्ध हो उठे।
