यानि पापानि घोराणि जन्मांतरशतेषु मे । तेषां सर्वविनाशाय शिवपूजां समारभे
yāni pāpāni ghorāṇi janmāṃtaraśateṣu me | teṣāṃ sarvavināśāya śivapūjāṃ samārabhe
मेरे सैकड़ों जन्मों में जो-जो घोर पाप हुए हैं, उन सबके पूर्ण विनाश के लिए मैं शिव-पूजा का आरम्भ करता हूँ।
