Satyavrata, Vasiṣṭha, and the Crisis of Dharma: Protection, Anger, and Vow-Discipline
एकदा खलु तद्गर्भो गरेणैव सह च्युतः । सुमुहूर्त्ते सुलग्ने च पंचोच्चग्रहसंयुते
ekadā khalu tadgarbho gareṇaiva saha cyutaḥ | sumuhūrtte sulagne ca paṃcoccagrahasaṃyute
एक बार उसका गर्भ विष (गर) के साथ ही गिरकर बाहर निकल गया। यह शुभ मुहूर्त और उत्तम लग्न में हुआ, जब पाँच ग्रह उच्च के थे।

Cosmic Event: Astrological yoga: five planets in exaltation (pañcoccagraha-saṃyoga) at a favorable lagna/muhūrta.
The verse highlights kāla (divine timing) and karmic unfolding: even distressing events occur within a larger auspicious order overseen by Pati (Lord Shiva), reminding devotees to hold faith and steadiness in Śiva-bhakti.
By emphasizing auspicious timing and cosmic order, it supports the Purāṇic view that Saguna Shiva compassionately governs the world-process; devotees approach the Śiva-liṅga seeking protection, purification, and right alignment with dharma.
The practical takeaway is to perform Śiva-pūjā at a śubha-muhūrta—recite the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), apply tripuṇḍra (bhasma), and maintain japa with a calm mind when facing adversity.
