यथास्यात्तद्वदेवात्र वक्ष्यामि श्रूयतां मुने । अयथाविदिताछब्दो पूर्ववद्विदितादिति
yathāsyāttadvadevātra vakṣyāmi śrūyatāṃ mune | ayathāviditāchabdo pūrvavadviditāditi
हे मुने, सुनिए; इस विषय में मैं जैसा सत्य है वैसा ही कहूँगा। जो शब्द गलत समझा जाए वह भ्रम उत्पन्न करता है; और जो ठीक समझा जाए, वह मानो आरम्भ से ही ज्ञात हो।

It emphasizes yathārtha-jñāna—right understanding. In Shaiva Siddhanta, liberation depends on removing ignorance (āṇava/māyīya obscuration); misread teachings bind, while correct understanding becomes a direct support for Shiva-oriented knowledge.
Linga worship is not merely external ritual; it requires correct grasp of meaning—seeing the Linga as the sacred sign of Pati (Shiva) and approaching Saguna worship as a doorway to realizing Shiva’s supreme reality, not as a mundane symbol.
Practice mantra-japa with correct understanding of the mantra’s meaning—especially the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—along with attentive listening (śravaṇa) and reflection (manana) so words are not taken ‘ayathā’ (wrongly).
