Devata: Soma Pavamāna (solarized/ṛta-bearing Soma)

विश्वस्य राजा पवते स्वर्दृश ऋतस्य धीतिमृषिषाळवीवशत् । यः सूर्यस्यासिरेण मृज्यते पिता मतीनामसमष्टकाव्यः ॥

víśvasya rājā pavate svàr-dṛśaḥ ṛtásya dhītím ṛṣiṣā́ḷ avīvaśat | yáḥ sū́ryasyā́sireṇa mṛ́jyate pitā́ matīnā́m ásamaṣṭa-kāvyaḥ ||

समस्त का राजा पवमान होकर बहता है, स्वः (दीप्त लोक) को देखनेवाला; ऋत की प्रेरित धीत को जगाता है, ऋषि-शाल (कुटिल/मिथ्या ऋषित्व का भंजक) होकर। जो सूर्य की तीक्ष्ण धार से परिमार्जित होता है, वही मतियों (प्रेरित विचारों) का पिता बनता है—असम (अतुल) अष्टकाव्य (अद्वितीय समन्वय-कर्ता कवि)।
