Sukta 8.49
अजिरासो हरयो ये त आशवो वाता इव प्रसक्षिणः । येभिरपत्यं मनुषः परीयसे येभिर्विश्वं स्वर्दृशे ॥
ajirā́so hárayo yé ta āśávo vātā́ iva prasákṣiṇaḥ | yébhi r ápatyaṃ mánuṣaḥ parī́yase yébhi r víśvaṃ svàr dṛśé ||
तेरे हरित (ताम्रवर्ण) अश्व अजीर—अथक—और आशु हैं, उफनती वायु के समान वेगवान। उन्हीं के द्वारा तू मनुष्यों की सन्तति को चारों ओर से घेरता/रक्षा करता है, और उन्हीं के द्वारा समस्त जगत् को स्वर्ग के प्रकाश का दर्शन कराता है।
