Sukta 5.3
त्वामस्या व्युषि देव पूर्वे दूतं कृण्वाना अयजन्त हव्यैः । संस्थे यदग्न ईयसे रयीणां देवो मर्तैर्वसुभिरिध्यमानः ॥
tvā́m asyā́ vyùṣi deva pū́rve dūtáṃ kṛṇvānā́ ayajanta havyáiḥ | saṃsthé yád agna ī́yase rayīṇā́ṃ devó martáir vásubhir idhyámānaḥ ||
इस उषा-प्रभात में, हे देव, प्राचीनों ने तुम्हें दूत बनाकर हव्यों से यजन किया। जब, हे अग्नि, तुम रयीों के संस्थान/आसन में गमन करते हो—मर्त्यों द्वारा वसुओं (शुभ द्रव्यों) से प्रज्वलित—तब देव मनुष्य-पात्र में प्रकट होकर दीप्त होता है।
