Sukta 10.3
कृष्णां यदेनीमभि वर्पसा भूज्जनयन्योषां बृहतः पितुर्जाम् । ऊर्ध्वं भानुं सूर्यस्य स्तभायन्दिवो वसुभिररतिर्वि भाति ॥
kṛṣṇā́ṁ yád enī́m abhí várpasā bhū́j janáyan yóṣāṁ bṛhatáḥ pitúr jā́m | ūrdhváṁ bhānúṁ sū́ryasya stabhā́yan divó vásu-bhir aratír ví bhā́ti ||
जब वह अपने ही रूप-तेज से कृष्णा (तमस्) का सामना करता है, तब वह बृहत्तम पितृ—विस्तृत पिता—की संतान, उस दीप्त युवती (उषा) को जन्म देता है। वह सूर्य के भानु को ऊर्ध्व स्थिर करता है, और दिव्य वसुओं के साथ अरति-शक्ति व्यापक रूप से विभासित होती है।
