युयुधातेमहात्मानौतदाकेसरिणाविव ।।।।बहूनवसृजन्तौहिमार्गणौघानवस्थितौ ।नरराक्षससिम्होतौप्रहृष्टावभ्ययुध्यताम् ।।।।
yuyudhāte mahātmānau tadā kesariṇāv iva |
bahūn avasṛjantau hi mārgaṇaughān avasthitau |
nararākṣasasiṃhau tau prahṛṣṭāv abhyayudhyatām ||
तब वे दोनों महात्मा सिंहों की जोड़ी की भाँति लड़े; अडिग खड़े रहकर बाणों की धाराएँ छोड़ते रहे। मनुष्यों और राक्षसों में सिंह-सदृश वे दोनों हर्षोन्मत्त होकर परस्पर युद्ध करने लगे।
