लङ्काप्राकारारोहणम् / Assault on Lanka’s Ramparts and the Opening Clash
रुद्धांतुनगरींश्रुत्वाजातक्रोधोनिशाचरः ।विधानंद्विगुणंश्रुत्वाप्रासादंसोऽध्यरोहत ।।।।
ruddhāṃ tu nagarīṃ śrutvā jātakrodho niśācaraḥ |
vidhānaṃ dviguṇaṃ śrutvā prāsādaṃ so 'dhyarohata ||
नगर के घिर जाने का समाचार सुनकर निशाचराधिपति रावण क्रोध से भर उठा; रक्षा-व्यवस्था का वृत्तांत जानकर उसने प्रबंधों को दुगुना करने की आज्ञा दी और फिर प्रासाद-प्रकोष्ठ पर चढ़ गया।
