Ravana’s Funeral Rites and the Ethics of Post-War Conduct
शास्त्रादृष्टेनविधिनामहर्षिविहितेन च ।।6.114.117।।तत्रमेध्यंपशुंहत्वाराक्षसेन्द्रस्यराक्षसाः ।परिस्तरणिकांराज्ञोघृताक्तांसमवेशयन् ।।6.114.118।।
śāstrādṛṣṭena vidhinā maharṣivihitena ca | tatra medhyaṃ paśuṃ hatvā rākṣasendrasya rākṣasāḥ | paristaraṇikāṃ rājño ghṛtāktāṃ samaveśayan ||
शास्त्र में बताए गए और महर्षियों द्वारा विहित विधान के अनुसार, वहाँ राक्षसों ने राक्षसेन्द्र के लिए मेध्य पशु का वध किया और अपने राजा के लिए घृत से अभिषिक्त परिस्तरणिका (विस्तार-चादर) को विधिपूर्वक बिछाया।
