वराहेण दशग्रीवश्शिंशुमारेण चेन्द्रजित्।।5.27.30।।उष्ट्रेण कुम्भकर्णश्च प्रयाता दक्षिणां दिशम्।
varāheṇa daśagrīvaḥ śiṁśumāreṇa cendrajit ||5.27.30||
uṣṭreṇa kumbhakarṇaś ca prayātā dakṣiṇāṁ diśam |
दशग्रीव (रावण) वराह पर आरूढ़ हुआ, इन्द्रजित् शिंशुमार पर, और कुम्भकर्ण ऊँट पर—वे सब दक्षिण दिशा की ओर प्रस्थान कर गए।
"O vile one! you are determined in your evil ways. Today these she-demons will eat away your flesh to their heart's content ".
The omen conveys that adharma drives one toward decline (symbolized by the south/Yama). Dharma is portrayed as the only stable path; deviation leads to ominous “departures.”
Trijaṭā’s dream shows the principal rākṣasa leaders traveling south on incongruous mounts, marking disgrace and impending death.
Trijaṭā’s protective integrity: she uses the dream to argue for ending cruelty toward Sītā and aligning with what is right before disaster strikes.
