Hanuman’s Self-Assertion of Power and Ascent of Mount Mahendra
मारुतस्य समो वेगे गरुडस्य समो जवे।अयुतं योजनानां तु गमिष्यामीति मे मतिः।।4.67.28।।
mārutasya samo vege garuḍasya samo jave | ayutaṃ yojanānāṃ tu gamiṣyāmīti me matiḥ || 4.67.28 ||
वेग में मैं मारुतदेव के समान हूँ और जवे में गरुड़ के तुल्य। मेरा निश्चय है कि मैं दस हज़ार योजन तक भी जा सकता हूँ॥
'I am equal to Maruta and Garuda in speed. I feel I can cover ten thousand yojanas (at a stretch).
