शिवधनुर्न्यासकथा तथा सीतोत्पत्तिविवाहशुल्क-निश्चयः

अथ मे कृषत: क्षेत्रं लाङ्गूलादुत्थिता मया।क्षेत्रं शोधयता लब्धा नाम्ना सीतेति विश्रुता।।1.66.13।।

kṣetraṁ śodhayatā labdhā nāmnā sīteti viśrutā ||1.66.13||

फिर जब मैं खेत जोत रहा था और भूमि को शुद्ध कर रहा था, तब हल के फाल से वह कन्या मेरे लिए प्रकट हुई। इस प्रकार वह प्राप्त हुई और ‘सीता’ नाम से विख्यात हुई।
